Biography

Associate Professor at COPPEAD/UFRJ since 2014 and researcher on the Research Center of Health Services Management (CESS/COPPEAD/UFRJ). Economist, Specialist in Political Economy, Master and Doctor in Business Administration in the field of Management of Technology and Production (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul). The Doctorate was held in agreement (cotutelle) with the Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille, France, obtaining a Doctorate in Industrial Economics from the French university. Post-Doc at COPPEAD/UFRJ (2013) with a research on innovation in health services. And was associate professor at the University of Brasília from 2006 to 2013. At UnB he was Head of the Management Departement, vice-president of Management and Financial Affairs (2011-2012) and vice-president of Community Affairs (2011). He also served as visiting professor at Université Paul Cézanne, Aix-en-Provence, France (2009-2010). His main research topic is Innovation in Services and the Role of Services in the Innovation System. He is member of RESER (www.reser.net) and REDLAS (www.redlas.net), two associations that engage researchers on services. From this research subject results researches on on management models of service innovation, service innovation in manufacturing companies, capabilities for innovation in services, innovation in public services, innovation in health services and public policies to support innovation and service sector. Currently conducts disciplines in the field of Innovation in Services, Innovation Management, Innovation in Health Services, Innovation in the Public Sector and Services Marketing.
