Created in 2001, the Economics and Energy Management program trains executives in the
Energy sector, providing a comprehensive view of this market, especially regading managerial,
strategic, economic, and reglatory aspects.
This program is a partnership between the COPPEAD Graduate School of Business and the Institute of Economics at UFRJ. Its goal is to prepare executives to work in energy sector companies by developing the skills necessary for these companies survival and competitiveness offering methodologies and techniques used in the design and implementation of energy projects.

The candidate’s managerial experience and the position held in their current company are among the factors considered in the selection process. Candidates must hold a degree from a recognized undergraduate program. The final decision regarding admission is made by a selection committee.
