PhD in Business & Management at University of Manchester (2016), MSc at COPPEAD-UFRJ (2004) and Production Engineering at POLI-UFRJ (2000). Holds over 20 years of professional experience as executive, consultant or in-company instructor, working with companies from various sectors such as retailing (Richards, Leader Magazine, Lojas Renner, Grupo Dufry), consumer goods (O Boticário, L’Oreal, Hersheys), industry (Halliburton, Technip, Tenaris, Siemens, Schott) and media (TV Globo). Between 2005 e 2014 has taught part-time at COPPEAD and since 2015 as full time professor for MSc, PhD and Executive MBA levels. Teaching topics include Operations Management, Supply Chain Management and Corporate Sustainability. Since 2018, he has been a visiting professor at Audencia Business School, France. Since March 2018, Leonardo has been elected for the IPSERA – International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association – Executive Committee. In the research front, Leonardo is focused on supply network sustainability, in particular GRI, CDP and B Corps, having published at International Journal of Production Economics, Production Planning & Control, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Benchmarking: An International Journal, International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management e Journal of Supply Chain Management; where he has received with colleagues the honorary mention to the Harold E. Fearon Best Conceptual Paper award in 2016. Currently, he is coordinator of the Rede Transparência & Sustentabilidade em Negócios [Transparency & Sustainability Network]. His research has been sponsored by C&A Foundation and Instituto-e, and currently by Coca-cola and FAPERJ [Young Scientist of Our State Program].
