Biography

Professor at Coppead/UFRJ, where she coordinates the Center for International Business Studies and the Smart Cities Lab. She holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of São Paulo (USP), with a focus on International Relations.

She conducts research and advises academic work in the areas of international business, public policy, advocacy, sustainability, and the 2030 Agenda.

She began her teaching career in higher education in 2003 and has been a professor at UFRJ since 2010, teaching at the undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and MBA levels. She coordinates two outreach projects at UFRJ focused on Innovation Management and Social Innovation.

She leads the International Politics and Business research group registered with CNPq and has published articles in high-impact national and international journals. She is the author of the books Introdução à Análise de Política Externa (Saraiva) and Negócios Internacionais: Perspectivas Brasileiras (Campus Publishing). She also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for FAPERJ and for several academic journals and conferences in Brazil and abroad.

She regularly provides political analysis for national and international media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal (USA), De Volkskrant (Netherlands), Economiahoy (Mexico), Sputnik (Russia), Nikkei Newspaper (Japan), Perfil/Bloomberg (Argentina), GloboNews, CBN, Estadão, Você S/A, Valor Econômico, among others.

In university administration, she has extensive experience and has held strategic roles in executive and collegiate bodies at UFRJ. From 2019 to 2023, she served as Academic Superintendent for Research at the Office of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, overseeing programs such as the Capes PrInt Internationalization Program, the Master’s and Doctoral Academic Innovation Program, and UFRJ’s Research Infrastructure Program.

She has served as a faculty representative on several collegiate bodies at UFRJ, including the University Council (CONSUNI), the Council of the Center for Legal and Economic Sciences, the International Relations Council (DRI), the Innovation Committee, and the Technical Ethics Committee for Research (CTEP-CEPG). She was also part of the Institutional Development Plan (PDI) Committee and the UFRJ Management Report Committee.
